Everything the Riddler should be 4

Warning: This review might contain some minor spoilers.Last week, DC kicked off Batman’s Villains month with the Joker, a sensible first choice. However, this week the Riddler shows that he too is a worthy adversary for the World’s Greatest Detective. Set at the time of Zero Year, this story nicely fits into the current events in the Batman series and will have a direct impact on it's future. In fact, it was co-written by none other than Scott Snyder. So what does this comic add to what we have ...

The Cards are just right 14

This review has SPOILERS so look out for that. I'm reviewing all the villain month issues to give the new reader perspective but honestly I don't think that counts here. Riddler's always been my a favorite Batman villain and that's a big factor for me when it comes to this issue. The Good: Just about everything. Riddler is portrayed fantastically, he's as arrogant as he is intelligent, and as dangerous as he is insane. This issue gets Riddler's specific type of insanity perfectly. It also does ...

    What Am I? 17

I'm not a Fan of Scott Snyders Batman, but i still wanted to Read the Riddlers villain Month issue since out of all the characters that have appeared Yet, Riddler was one of the few villains who actually needed a revamp. Now When i say Revamp, this does not equate to completely changing the character and just keeping his original name, which is exactly what they did to Mr. Freeze, Grundy, Cyborg-Superman, and etc. Riddler has been suffering from the fact that writers can't decide how to write hi...

    Riddle Me This 2

Villains Month continues, and finally the issue that I was most looking forward to has arrived. Although Joker is my all time favourite villain, Riddler is very close behind, and I find his core characteristics much more interesting, and if he had the same level of iconic stories like Joker he could easily have topped him. Also with the semi tie-in to Zero Year I was even more excited.Plot Riddler has returned to Wayne Enterprises, and makes his way up, and up, playing out riddles along the way....

    Finishing the card game. 3

I wasn’t originally going to review this, but when unfortunately I didn’t get Zod, I decided to review this, as I’m trying to review at least one villain issue a week, but still I was really excited to read this issue, and to see what it did with the Riddler.PlotRiddler remembers his time in Arkham four years ago, before he enters the Wayne enterprises building in the present and tries to get to the top while solving Riddles along the way, but a guard realises that the Riddler is in the buildin...

    The Riddler is Back 0

Last week, we received the less than acceptable Joker issue, which many fans found lacking, myself included. I was hesitant to pick this up, but since Scott Snyder was co-wirting this issue, I had to pick it up! Boy, was I glad I did. This is arguably the best Villains Month issue out this week, if not the best overall (We will have to see how the rest of the month shapes out). The Story/WritingThe Riddler has always been one of the most interesting and one of my favorites of Batman's crazy ro...

It was good, but not great. 0

Riddler's on a path for revenge! The GoodStory by Scott Snyder and Ray Fawkes, written by Ray Fawkes follows Riddler on a path of revenge which creates an amusing .1 story. Ray Fawkes basically went all out and had a bunch of fun with this Riddler issue. Keeping in mind that this is a one-shot issue, that is what all one-shots should achieve. It should be fun and exciting, giving readers a good amount of reading without having to force feed them information they probably already know about the s...
