The punchline was obvious
Okay so I'm gonna go into this saying that I wasn't expecting to be amazing, I wasn't expecting something groundbreaking, I wasn't expected the best comic ever. That said what I got was still disappointing.
The Good: The art is nice as always, the dialog is...okay...and it's at least a good resolution to the story.
The Bad: The more I think about it the more I really just didn't enjoy this comic. The "twist" was so obvious that I called it before I read issue 16. The combat scenes aren't really that good and the Joker doesn't come off as threatening. Heck he doesn't even really come off as unnerving in this issue and I think the face mask thing really is the cause of it. It's just all too silly to be scary for me. I mean I know it's a comic, but when you're clearly moving unnerve you need to put some realism in there in order to contrast with the messed up stuff. This comic fails to do so and it's worse off for it.
Overall if you're reading Batman you've already read this comic, written your own review and you either love it or hate it so there's no point in recommending it to long time fans. If you're someone looking to check out Batman and see if it's all really as good as the hype, this isn't the issue to go into.
