Destroy Gotham!
The art in this issue is still top notch. Adrian Syaf is an amazing artist and I think that he gives the book a light tone while dealing with something serious. I really like the way the characters look and especially in this issue the background is fulled of details and I think that it really does Gotham a good job. The story is okay. I really like having a huge back story. I really like the fact that it relies so much on history and incorporates it into something like Night of the Owls. I really like seeing James Gordon in this issue and I think that he was my favorite part of this issue. I also really like what the Owls do here and I think that it is the most iconic event of Night of Owls that has happened. It was really amazing and I think that a lot of the books will add into their pages.
THE BAD:
I don't like Barbra's inner dialog. I think that she is way to kiddish and it effect the enjoyment of the book. I think making her this age and getting her out of the chair was one of the worst idea they could've done and I really hope they can fix it and make her a serious character again that can take things serious. Some of the dialog is just plain stupid to me as well.
THE VERDICT: 4/5 (Great)
I'm sure if I didn't read pre-Flashpoint Barbra Gordon this would be a lot better. I think they have numbed the character down to make her more young and hip. I think that it fails horribly and they should go back to a more serious tone. Overall, this series has been a bag with mixed issues and ideas. There are something that are working, and others that need to be over with soon and try to move on. I would recommend to pick this up if you want some more on the Court of Owls.
