Saved Batgirls Life
I don't really know how to say this well, but the artist on this book gives the book a certain video game feeling. I think it almost feels like Arkham City inside of these pages. The expressions also shined in this issue for me. The story is what grabbed me in this issue. Barbra Gordon allows a criminal to go free, because she knows something about him. I don't want to give too much away, but this issue was emotional, chilling and the ending was shocking. I hope that Gail Simone goes in this direction for a while because it's much better then what was before this.
THE BAD:
There are a few panels that the art looks a little off to me. I also think that the mother and Barbra should be more different. They look almost the same.
THE VERDICT: 4.5/5 (Amazing)
This is my favorite issue of Batgirl by a long shot. This is what I was expecting coming into this series. This is what should be happening. I really like how understanding and forgiving Barbra is in this issue and I think the flashbacks to her mother and her brother were chilling and very, very good. Pick up this issue and hopefully, the series stays like this in quality.
