The head of the Reapers will shock you

      Cover

I think the best covers in my opinion has to be Batgirl covers. I always loved this series covers and when I have to give an example of a great cover I always mention this series. This cover did not disappoint because it was great and lives up to all the others.

    Story

The Reaper story is coming to an end and Batgirl and some of her friends have to stop them. But the big twist is the ending to see whom exactly the Reapers were trying to release out from jail.

    Best Part

The girl power in this issue was great. I loved in the end of this issue Batgirl was not afraid to ask for help from her friends. The Reapers said she was a being a coward because she called her friends but I think that it shows that Stephanie knows how to think on her toes. Something I also enjoyed seeing in this issue was Detective Gage. Right when Batgirl jumps out of the plane to go and fight the Reapers she tells him to give Barbra a chance and than he is surprised that Batgirl knew this. I think Detective Gage and Barbara could be perfect for each other especially since she will be downing her costume again soon. But the most shocking part of this issue has to be the last page. Where we see this whole entire Reaper gang has been controlled by Cluemaster, Stephanie Brown’s father. I can see that the last issue of Batgirl is going to be a great one.

    Worst Part

I can kind of tell from this issue that the whole Reaper story was not really going the direction of Cluemaster being but since it was ending they kind of had to do it. I think as this story arc started Bryan Q Miller did not know this was going to be his last story arc. But I am glad that he added Cluemaster in but it did not really seem to fit right.

    Art

Sometimes the art for batgirl can be sketchy at times and never compares to the art for the cover. But I actually really liked the art for this issue and Stephanie Brown actually looked like Stephanie Brown. Sometimes with the other issues the art just was so sketchy that Stephanie Brown did not look like Stephanie Brown.

    Pick it up or not

    Pick it up!!!

Another well structured issue from a solid creative team. 0

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the upcoming DC relaunch is the return of Barbara Gordon as Batgirl. While I'm excited about it's potential and the creative team in place for it, it's still sad to see Stephanie Brown's series come to an end. That being said, this is a fun, entertaining issue that sets up the finale with one wild cliffhanger.  Bryan Q. Miller has consistently put together solid issues and this one is no different. I love how he structures his story, starting with a really good a...

The Beginning of Batgirl's Fitting Farewell 0

The Good: The cover is beautiful, as per usual from Dustin Nguyen, and Pere Perez continues to do just fine on the interior art.Apparently I'm the only one here who thinks the revelation of the Reaper's 'client' wasn't a last minute decision. I've suspected  SPOILER WARNING: Click here to reveal hidden content.  ever since the Reapers first mentioned their client, and my suspicions were reinforced when Slipstream wasn't allowed to kill Batgirl. They were practically solidified when The Gray Gho...
