The Good This issue continues the AWESOME storyline set up by the previous issue. (#9) We haven’t really seen this fun of a storyline in this titles first few issues. Hopefully this level of storytelling will continue on in the book for issues to come. This ending/cliffhanger is a great and makes you impatient for next month’s issue The art in this issue complements the story quite well also. The Bad This is part 2 of the story arc so if you haven’t bought the issue that preceded this one you ...

    Calculating Doom 3

Okay, first off this is going to be a slightly biased review since I'm probably the Calculator's biggest fan...  So in this arc the Calculator is using Apokoliptian technology to take Oracle down with a technoplague. Awesome? Definetely.  The Good Oracle finally FINALLY admits the Calculator is as smart as her. Um...probably should review the stuff that would be interesting to other people. Okay...this book maintains a humorous tone while not subtracting in the slightest from the seriousness of ...

    Review: Batgirl #10 0

The Calculator's vendetta against Oracle ratchets up as a throng of "zombies" are activated who have been programmed to kill the former Batgirl.  The Good I did like the way Miller goofed on narrative captions throughout this, giving Stephanie Brown a neurotic nature to set her apart from other members of the Bat Family. The credits page splash was notably good, too - - good enough to be a poster. Garbet or Perez (I'm not sure who) put a great Sc...

    Techno-Zombies and Rain! 0

It's the continuation of "The Flood." Calculator (oooooh, so menacing!) is back and ready to get his revenge on Oracle with his deadly technology. THE GOOD:- *whistles* Another month, another gorgeous Lau cover. The job of the cover is to grab attention and this is beautiful!- Immediately hit with the continuity to Teen Titans and The Cure mini-series. Continuity ties together the DC Universe and makes other titles relevant. - The story has that techno-horror feel. The use of blacks, the red eye...

These Zombies were never dead but, they still pack a mighty hit 0

The cover was great and I loved it. The story starts out with the calculator wanting his daughter back. Batgirl saves a couple of girls and Babs is fixing up her hideout. Detective Gage is waiting on babs and he runs into steph. They have a weird conversation and he leaves. Wendy thinks that Babs is hiding something and thinks that Steph is weird. She stumbles into oracles hideout and oracle says she wants to help Wendy. The calculator gets ready to turn everyone into zombies. Everyone on any el...

Imagine Chris Redfield and Stephanie Brown working together. 2

In the beginning Calculator is showing is dead son his master plan and how he's going to try and revive him and get Oracle. Batgirl is doing a normal crime and that's pretty much it for the beginning. Detective Gage goes into Oracle's office and is followed in by Stephanie. They already know eachother as Batgirl and Detective, but he doesn't know that she's Batgirl. So they get to know eachother a little better and he leaves. Wendy is directed to Oracle's hideout. She has to be kept ther...

    Slowly Filling the Role 2

I don't care what you say, I like Stephanie Brown. There, I said it.  Everyone complains that she isn't Cassandra Cain. That's the point. In fact, she's almost the opposite. So quit your griping, Cass will be back eventually and just enjoy this for what it is.   So far, this Calculator business is my favorite events of the series. Steph is slowly becoming worthy of the title of Batgirl. This issue was a lot deeper than the usual 'Spider-Man problems' Steph was having in her personal life. I did ...
