psynetrix's Batgirl #10 - All Snug in Their Beds review

    Well, here's the thing...

    I liked the underlying social tone of Batgirl #10; she reminded me of Green Arrow for a minute, and their interaction during "Zero Hour" back in the day. Knightfall's henchmen were pretty lame, but for some reason it seems like it was on purpose. Ever since the changed Batgirl's cape back to yellow, the character seems to pop out of the page, I like it.

      THE GOOD: I really like the art in this issue. Alitha Martinez is the artist but it looks fairly similar to the previous artist on the series with the same feeling. I really like the facial expressions in this issue. You can see that all the characters are feeling something when they do what they do. I really like the story in this issue. It's picking up.       Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. This issue brings out feelings in me that both remind me why I bother, and continue to fuel my wonderings.It's no secret that I can't stand Barbara as Batgirl anymore. Oh sure, I gave the first issue a 5/5, and I defended the idea plenty, despite my concerns that it could've been handled better, but as the series exited its first arc I realized my mistake.
