Midge Merrill (Earth-Two)So, there was this crook named Tapper Nolan, who caused a fire at a circus, while a a performing trio of short men was doing tricks on the stage.
Two of the men died, and the remaining one, Mitch Merrill, after finding out Nolan to be responsible, swore to take the criminal to justice.
By becoming a baseball themed-superhero. Who claimed to be a young boy. For some reason.
Merrill was successful in his hunt for Nolans gang, and ruined a few of their crimes.
He then met Robin the boy wonder, and together they snatched Nolan and his crew. Merrill then quit the crime fighting business, `cause that`s what new superheroes used to do in those olden days.
