    I believe Barry was always a forensic scientist, and has always had the chemical backstory, but I'm unclear on the role Henry and Nora played before Rebirth. Was Henry "killing" Nora always a part of Barry's mythology? Or was that an idea introduced in Rebirth? If that idea was always around, then that's some brilliant writing to shoehorn Thawne in there.

    It was introduced in Rebirth I believe. I have some silver age books with Barrys parents in them and there is no big connection.
