After the overwhelmingly negative response to the sex scene in the killing joke; I've remembered how Bruce Timm seems to insert a romantic relationship between Bruce and Barbara in almost every one of his works. While I don't really like the ship I have to wonder does he just like pairing Bruce and Barbara together or is it based on anything in the comics?
