During SDCC, DC confirmed that The Killing Joke will still be part of continuity even after the relaunch. (check here for more info: http://www.newsarama.com/comics/dcnu-bob-harras-eddie-berganza-history-in-tact-110615.html) However, that leaves the question "How does that effect Babs in Batgirl?" Will Batgirl take place before The Killing Joke? Or will Babs recover from Joker's gun-shot or wear a specialized suit that gives her mobility? What are your thoughts and opinions?

Also she was or is paralyzed, I think it is a specialized suit.

Yea i was thinking because her suit seems more mechanical than the other bat-family members I think it might be what allows her to walk(Having a bad flashback to BoP tv series, with the walking belt), or compensate for her lack of mobility during her time in the wheelchair

Now it seems like only the part where Barbara is shot is canon. The jokers new 52 origin has been changed now so that part of the story that tells jokers origin isn't canon anymore

If the 60s Batman Tv Show was on no matter what, William Dozier himself, or Yvonne Craig would never let that happen , whether it was written in the comic book or not, Ceasar Romero himself wouldnt go along with that. There was never that type of violence in any episode
