So i wanted to give a shout out for a guy that i believe is one of the underrated characters nowadays. Sure hes dead so it lives up to the "out of sight out of mind" saying; but still what do you think of Mr. Sean Cassidy? Love him or hate him? Are there any Banshee superfans out there?

he's cool. and yeah, he died solely so there could be some eventful tragedy
in the story. he's dealt with way worse than what picked him off there.

I love Banshee (not in the same way that Babs loves Namor ;)

His death was tragic, but he died saving innocent people.  His resurrection in Necrosha is sad because of that, and also because he's tried to warn his old friends to run away.    I'm not sure if I want to see him stay back among the living, or laid to rest in respectful peace.

I love him he was a wonderful character that always seemed to get the shaft in some way. His death was pointless.

That pretty much sums up how I feel about Banshee.

I second that. As cool as Sean was, I really do think they should let the dead stay dead.

Death for no other purpose than cheap shock factor has been done to death, pun intended. And the whole "comic book characters coming back to life" has been a joke for years, and I believe that's one of the reasons comics aren't respected.

Loved Banshee, and thought he was horribly underwritten. I wouldn't mind them perm killing him off except for the fact that the writers never even scratched the surface with him. He had a lot of potential, but was constantly downplayed by writers. He was constantly injured or losing, lol. It made no sense with some with such experience and such a versatile power. I wouldn't mind seeing him brought back. Or maybe another incarnation of him.

When was he constantly injured or losing?? I remember his throat was burnt out once, and I do remember him getting defeated once or twice, but he usually could hold his own...unless he was up against an obviously superior opponent

@tigerstriper: Comic characters coming back to life is one of the conventions of the medium. To say they are not respected, in my opinion, means that you do not appreciate the characters and storylines.

On the topic of the thread, I like Banshee. He was there before there were fifty thousand telepaths/telekinetics, and shall remain in my heart as one of the greatest of the fallen X-men
