Bambi is a male roe deer who when he loses his mother to hunters must do the best he can to learn how to survive in the forest, while mostly on his own after her death he does receive some help from other creatures of the forest. In the original story however he is never more than an ordinary deer.
First seeing print in 1923 in a book by Felix Salten titled Bambi. Eine Lebensgeschichte aus dem Walde (Bambi, the History of a Life in the Forest) it was translated into English as Bambi, a Life in the Wood in 1928. It was not long before it was translated into 20 other languages and became a world classic of children’s literature.
However it’s greatest fame came when it was turned into Disney Studios 5 full-length cartoon feature.
In Kingdom Hearts Bambi is an animal that lost his world but not his heart. His hearts was so strong that when his world disappeared he turned into a summon orb. Sora finds the summon orb and takes it to the Fairy Godmother and she releases him from the orb.
