As with the Civil War story arc, it is hard to tell which side was ultimately and unambigously in the right(unlike the Civil War, WWII or the Cold War where few would defend secession to maintain a system of slavery, a genocidally minded polity or totalitarianism, there is right on BOTH sides). I must admit my sympathy for theX-Men's attempt to prevent their race dying out but it is also true that the Phoenix Force is dangerously uncontrollable as the Avengers note!
