    AvX Finale

This is the final issue of the big crossover event Avengers vs. X-Men. I have to say the series on a wholehas been quite good and got really good near the end but I still think it would have got a lot more love from other comic book fans and more from me if it was shorter. There hasn't been many (if any) Marvel crossovers in the last few years that have been over 8 issues long and this series well and truly surpassed that. I was happy that this issue we see Adam Kubert back on pencils as his art in issue 10 was amazing and I love his work in general.

This issue goes back and forth showing how Hope got to this gripping conclusion. It also states heavily on how Scarlet Witch was kinda responsible for this when she said "no more mutants" back in House of M (which has not really been talked about since her reappearance). The flash backs mainly show Hope fighting with Scarlet Witch cause of this and the rest of the issue is the Avengers with Hope and Scarlet Witch later, fighting Cyclops who is now the sole bearer of the Phoenix Force and has turned into Dark Phoenix.

This was a brilliant end to the series and has made it all worth while reading them. I was really pleased to see Hope fight with Scarlet Witch with Tony describing them as ying and yang. I also liked how finally something has been mentioned about what Scarlet Witch did back during House of M (as the Avengers, besides Vision have been acting like she didn't really do anything during House of M and Avengers Disassemble). I also liked seeing the return of Nova as I loved that character during Secret Avengers, although he was barely used throughout the issue. The only thing I did think a bit negatively on whilst reading the issues was the flashbacks, don't get me wrong they gave a lot more to the story I just felt that they sometimes came just at the wrong time.

Final verdict. Brilliant conclusion that I would highly recommend (even if you hated the start or middle and have left the series cause of this). It was really well thought out and makes the series fell worthy. It also has a nice we teaser at the end of the issue for the new Uncanny Avengers series which is out next week.

    Rating: 4.5/5

      The Grand Finale 0

Summary: The Very long Avengers vs X men finally wrap up in this extra sized issue. The Good: Ok, the best part of this entire story is simple. At the start of this very very long story we were promised that after it was all said and done the entire landscape of the marvel universe would change, they did that. Not to go into too many spoilers here but things (especially for the X-men side of the universe) has changed drastically and opened alot of avenues for new stories with new directions. The B...

I don't see how this could have ended any other way, the finale to AvX was more or less a logical one. I hope we get a break from Cyclops and Emma for a while; he is crazy and she became annoying. I'm not sure I understand why Magneto is now a fugitive; he was one of the good guys all along. Please check my mini-review of Avengers vs X-Men #12 here:http://bit.ly/SOV3DoComments and feedback are always welcome!...
