A v X Round 11 Review
ok so I am new to this, my first review so bare with me, i will try not to give any spoilers away.
The Good: Bendis did a great job with the writing, i loved the start with him going after heavier guns and im loving how the action of this is picking up. Honestly as a 12 part series i could pick at least 5 issues they could of cut, This ISNT ONE, it made you fill like this was the final battle. The Whole Interaction with professor X and scott had me hooked in. I loved Ice man's cameo and i think it made the comic feel real, raw emotions the X men side of the story more so. Not Cap being all high and mighty and judging them because of the power they had. It's near the End cap was right, we are seeing how much it hurts the X men to do what is write and we can feel the love of a father and son between Scott and Chuck. It also did an excellent job of showing that Cap is right, the Phoenix has taken over and totally pushed them to one side and something has to be done. I also really enjoyed Coipel's artwork, im not familar with him off hand but i did enjoy it in this book.
The Bad: ok this is nit picky but i wanted to put something here, There is a death in this book i think! It seems kind of vague on rather this person is dead or not (and no i'm not talking about Emma it seems clear she isnt) so that may be they want to tease death when they aren't dead, or maybe they are. If they are im not really happy with who they choose to kill but if it gives a good affect i can deal with it and i can see why they might be better dead the character hasn't been used regularly in years. Also this is the 11th Issue and they promised lots of deaths right? So far there might be one? Seems a little light.
The Verdict: This is what i was hoping from when i first started buying this cross over. Its got action, plot and grips at your heart strings just a bit. I loved the writing and art and i would say that if the last book is as good as this one then the 5 or so throw away books where worth reading just to get to this ending.
