Review: Avengers: The Origin #3 0

Iron Man, Ant-Man and Wasp search for Hulk, who's on the lam in a circus, while Thor hunts for Loki. The Good The more you know about Avengers history, the more you get out of this. Little things like Reed Richards not really buying Iron Man's "bodyguard" cover story and the Wasp's wishing Ant-Man could be more romantic have great significance in the larger picture (and even some grave ironies.) As we approach and pass by the mid point of this special volume I again return to the burning question at hand. Was this necessary? These are entertaining comics, well drawn and written with some quite excellent dialog but they suffer from pacing issues that are an inevitable cost of expanding a single issue story into a five issue volume of comics.
