Killed in battle against the Avengers, the Grim Reaper was brought back to life using black magic. For a time he had to take the life energy of a human every 24 hours to stay on Earth; he was cured of this thanks to Wonder Man and Scarlet Witch. He met his demise at the hands of Rogue, when he attacked the Avengers in an attempt to kill the Scarlet Witch.
