After a breather issue last time, we get a new storyline involving the Academy students, and it's great to see that they actually DO seem to have matured a little bit. And it's a doozy. While Pym and Quicksilver are handling a situation in Italy, it comes down to Tigra and the students to handle a break-in by Electro at a tech lab. The Avengers Academy travel to Europe, but are they in over their heads?The GoodI've been loving Avengers Academy lately, and as I noted in my Spider-Man review, Marvel seems to be pushing them hard on their audiences. This is good, because they manage to come off as endearing rather than annoying; they're not totally incompetant, but they're not all-powerful, either. Issue #14 of Avengers Academy. The Story: The AA goes to a research lab in Paris in order to stop Electro but the rest of the Sinister Six are not far behind and they defeat the AA. Avengers Academy #14 Hey everyone I'd like to start off by saying I was highly anticipating this issue because the students would be fighting the Sinister 6 and that is a big challenge. Okay so basically this whole issue revolves around the Avengers Academy fighting the Sinister 6. They were way in over their heads thinking they could handle such big league villains because they beat Korvac, although that was in their future adult forms. They could'nt handle the Sinister 6 in this issue at all. ...

Cover: I really like this cover. I don't know what it is about the sinister six that I like so much, maybe it's the amount of power that they could honestly attain if they were all as smart as Otto, but this cover makes them look very empowering. Heroes are made for preventing catastrophes and beating bad guys right? But since our trainees heroes in the Avengers Academy don´t do much of that, the simple task of busting Elektro seems like a golden oportunity, both for experience and showing the world that they are able to play the game, right? It would be, if the entire Sinister Six weren´t invited for the party - in another well writen and amazing issue, Gage throws our young heroes into the thraws of one of the most "beloved" Spider-Man...
