ironherc's Avengers #12.1 - It Came from Outer Space (Knight) ! review

This is what Avengers should always be

This issue is made for new readers to jump into the series easily, well you know what!? IT WORKS!!! but that's the problem, it works to well and it would be awesome if bendis would reconsider his idea to aim for the trade all the time

    The Good
Even if most of the avengers weren't in the actual action (it was more like combination of all the three main teams) it was pretty darn fun, Avengers V.S Intelligencia was a good one shot battle and in the end it foreshadows the future of the avengers with the (spoilers!) Return of Ultron! which makes me really exited to see what will happen next

    The Bad
It didn't give us all of the avengers in the cover (they do appear but not in the action as i said) and the other problem is not this issue but the whole run as long as bendis is writing it makes it a problem since i fear that after the tie ins of fear itself, if he is still writing this book he will keep on doing six issue story arcs that can easily be done in 3 or 4 issues. Don't get me wrong, I love the book right now but the first arc could had finished earlier yet as much as i totally loved the infinity quest, i feel bendis is wasting much more time writing that oral story of the avengers rather than focusing on telling the actual story and again don't think i hate 6 or more issue story-lines, but only if each issue is as good or better than the previous one!

    Verdic: 4/5
is great and i loved it yet the fear of bendis cash cowing on each arc worries me a lot (seriously, we need more action packed stories like this! you know! what all super hero book needs to be!)

Why Can't The Rest Of The Series Be More Like This? 0

The team of Brian Michael Bendis and Bryan Hitch put out the best issue of Avengers yet with this Point One issue. Spider-Woman has been captured by the Intelligencia, and one of the Avengers' worst enemies returns.Bendis pulls in a surprising amount of continuity from other titles into this issue. Not only does it tie into his annoyingly brief Spider-Woman series but Kieron Gillen's S.W.O.R.D. series, the Intelligencia from the Hulk titles and even a little something from Annihilation Conquest....

Lately I´m not making good reviews about Bendis´writing, mostly because I think that his latest work (both in The Avengers and New Avengers) is boring and a little out of focus, but if this glimpse of the coming Ultron War keep coming with the same quality of dialogues, narrative and the amazing art of Bryan Hitch you can count me in, ´cause it will be a major arc story - I´m talking about the big panel showed in The Avengers # 5 that allegedly displayed Marvel´s next big arc stories (though Fea...
