Origin

Augustine is the son of the late Darren Cross, and inherited Cross Technological Enterprises upon his father's death.

Augustine Cross was created by David Michelinie and John Romita Jr. and first appeared in Iron Man Vol.1 issue 145 (1981).

At one point he was thought to be a suspect in an incident where the Raiders were hired to attack Iron Man, but turned out to be innocent.

Years later, he resurfaces in Miami, where he arranges the kidnappings of Erica Sondheim and Cassie Lang in order to resurrect his father.
