When he turned seventeen, young Hal Jordan (cousin of the famous Hal Jordan, Green Lantern) was given the costume of his father, the Golden Age Air Wave. Hal became the new Air Wave, able to convert and manipulate radio waves. Air Wave died during the Infinite Crisis.

Atom Smasher (Al Rothstein) was the adopted granddaughter of Danette Reilly. They first met, though, when Al traveled back in time with Infinity, Inc. to aid the All-Star Squadron against the Ultra-Humanite.
