Hoping to witness the rebirth of the mutant species, the X-Men race to the small African village of Karere, where a sudden spate of super-powered infants have been born. However, they quickly learn that these newborns are not their brand of mutant. And no sooner have the X-Men discovered the shocking truth of these infants' origin than they are ambushed by a local dictator who has plans of his own for these baby-shaped timebombs. Could this trip get any worse?

Review: Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis #3 0

The X-Men's battle of words with Doctor Crocodile has to put aside as the two parties must unite against a greater threat - - the inexplicable return of Captain Britain's old foe, Mad Jim Jaspers.  The Good This is one of those rare superhero comics where you're left riveted without any fight scenes or even a single thrown punch - - the dialog is just that good. I'm normally leery of superheroes getting embroiled in current affairs as it frequently comes across as quite tacky or tasteless, but ...
