Another Fine Mess, Part Three last edited by fesak on 11/08/20 01:31AM View full history

Wolverine and Spider-Man have gone from the dawn of time to the end of time. Now they're stuck in the future, which would be so bright were the sun not eclipsed by DOOM: THE LIVING PLANET! Not only did Dr. Doom conquer our planet, but he also conquered Ego: The Living Planet and is back to finish the job on Earth. Only Wolverine and the Phoenix Gun stand in his way. All this, plus a shocking end that will change the way you look at the two biggest Marvel characters, thanks to Jason Aaron (WOLVERINE, PUNISHERMAX) and Adam Kubert (ULTIMATE X-MEN, HULK).

This Spidey/ Wolverine team-up is going really well. When I first heard about this series back in April, I was going to check it out because I like Spidey and Wolvie, but I had no idea it would be THIS good. The plot is a little bit ridiculous and it’s certainly over the top, but it’s so unique and well done that all of that doesn’t matter. And besides, both of these characters are kind of crazy anyway. Jason Aaron’s writing is really good, his Spider-Man dialogue is funny and fits really well ...

Once Spider-Man gets the Cosmic Cube, things get exponentially more bizarre.   The Good As much I focus on the imaginative scenarios that Aaron puts these guys through, it has to be said that he gets their personalities totally right and that makes even the most unbelievable scenes in this issue that much more believabl...
