Will Deadpool Break The Fourth Wall In The Movie?

Feels like it's been a little while since Ryan Reynolds talked about the Deadpool movie.  It's just too bad production hasn't actually started.  Reynolds has lots of good ideas.  He should definitely be involved as more than just an actor.  With all his thoughts about the character, perhaps if he had more control, X-Men  Origins: Wolverine would have ended better.

Reynolds recently spoke to Empire Online and gives up an update.  We know that Reynolds is a big fan of the character and that there are lots of Deadpool fanboys.

I’m one of them. I’ve always been a fan, at least for the last eight or nine years. I feel a bit of validation because I knew going into Wolverine that there’s a huge fanbase for this and I don’t think anyone else did.

He knows that in order for the movie to succeed, it has to be done correctly.  What about Deadpool breaking the fourth wall?

Break the fourth wall? Oh yeah, he’s got to. I want to see him break the Great Wall.

The studio's working on a script and trying to find a director. The main goal is to make sure it stays close to the source material.

Would breaking the fourth wall work in a movie?  He basically did in one of the endings of Wolverine Origins.  Also, Ferris Bueller did it.  Why not Deadpool?
