When Did Batman's Villains First Pop Up?

Quite the gallery and I never expected Lex Luthor to originally have been a Batman's enemy.

Favorite absurd villain names: King of Cats, Mr. Camera, Blue Bat, Kite Man, Rainbow Beast, Snowman, Bad Samaritan, and Ugly American.

On another note, I don't think I see Wrath on the list. Condiment King is also listed as debuting about a decade before his actual appearance.

Owlman is one of my favorites.

That's really interesting information but as a fan and maker of charts, it's really annoying designed. Why put the bios of the characters in red so far below their names on the chronology?

There are a few small mistakes ( The Proteus who debuted in '68 is not the same one who fought Batman) but overall its a great list.

Superman has more. I think.

Nice list but the maker shouldn't put character he fought against who were not originally from a Batman comic.As the list is about debut date not a list of who he fought against.

Batman's foes are iconic; I doubt the general public gives a fig who the Parasite and Metallo are, but Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, are as much cultural icons as comic book characters

I didn't realize some of these Batman villains were so old. Man that's what happens when a comicbook company fleshes out those characters, they can make them last a long time and hold people's interest.

Tell me that Gotham is really that good. All this Batman-related stuff makes me want to watch the show. I have a feeling the current season of Arrow won't be that good. I'll still watch that show anyways, since it's just an entertainment for me.
