Has anyone else noticed the push from Marvel to bring more attention to Valkyrie in many of their current ongoing titles? Last week we saw the teaser for Marvel's upcoming Fear Itself: The Fearless which showed Valkyrie center stage, and early this week we caught another glimpse of her in an upcoming appearance in Secret Avengers.
If you've been following Warren Ellis' story in the current Secret Avengers then you may already be familiar with what has been going on. In the series' upcoming issue the British government seems to have received some important information, but they are doing nothing about it. Queue the Secret Avengers. MI:13 had received intelligence information regarding abductions that had taken place in Yugoslavia, but unfortunately, the British government doesn't seem to be preventing the situation.
The story begins to unravel when the Secret Avengers look into the situation and quickly realize that they may possibly be dealing with bio-terrorists -- even with the help of Valkyrie and War Machine, the team might be in a really tight spot. The issue is set to hit local comic shops on September 28th, 2011 but if you want to know more before you add this to your pull list, then check out the 6-page preview of the book's interiors below.
