There hasn't been a lot of news for the sequel to Thor and we haven't really reported on what is known. The sequel is due in theaters November 8, 2013. What was announced at Comic-Con was the ful title, Thor: The Dark World. With that title, we can start piecing together some information.
Most of the cast is returning. The biggest announcement was Christopher Eccleston appearing as Malekith the Accursed. As ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, you know Thor is going to be a little busy.
Earlier this week Deadline reported that Kat Dennings will be back as Darcy Lewis, friend to Natalie Portman's Jane Foster. This raises the question of how much of the movie will take place on Asgard and how much on Midgard? From the end of The Avengers (spoilers),we know Thor takes Loki back to Asgard to own up to his actions.
Another recent addition is Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been cast as Algrim the Strong, a Dark Elf fighter for Malekith.
== TEASER ==We'll keep our eyes peeled for any new developments. The question remains, what will be the overall focus of the movie and what key stories might they draw from? It's looking like most of the movie will be set on Asgard compared to the first film but with Portman and Dennings in the cast, we have to assume Thor might be spending some time on Earth as well.
