I was hoping that Bryan Cranston would make a good Luthor...But it looks like Eisenberg can fill the bill.

He looks just like Smallville's Lex Luthor. If that's the case then they should have brought back Michael Rossunbaum. I still have my doubts. I hope the teaser trailer for this movie gives us enough time to experience and analyze Eisenberg as Luthor because I don't see him as threatening or ominous.

doesn't look that bad, and I'm saying this as someone who openly opposed casting Eisenberg. Still, a monochrome headshot doesn't reveal much. I'll reserve judgment until I see a trailer.

It's funny, his voice is like, the least Lex-type voice I've heard.

Look wise he's not that bad, it's his voice that's the problem.

Looks like a bald Jessie Eisenberg. I still don't find him threatening in any way which in my opinion LL should be. Hopefully he'll win me over though.

Eisenberg isn't looking that much like Lex Luthor in that photo. He doesn't have Lex's arrogance, cynicism or sinister edge in his acting. And that's more important than how he looks. His acting roles are almost blow for blow the same performance repeated over the film; the fast talking mile a minute smart guy/nerd who thinks he knows better than anyone else. Thing is, that's only one facet of Lex's character, there's so much more complexity to Lex as a villain and arch nemesis of Superman. And I don't think Eisenberg has the acting range to meet the criteria.

I like eisenberg as an actor, however i feel he doesn't have the physical look of Luthor. Luthor usually is abit older, a deeper voice, abit more mass on his body...

I'm actually feeling it. I think it would be cool to have a Lex Luthor that is honest, but is just on the wrong side of things. A Lex that hates and distrusts Superman because he feels he is responsible for the destruction of the city.

Don't get me wrong, he would have NEVER been my choice for Lex, but looking at Zack Synder's comments I pretty sure he won't be some annoying snot nose brat like we were all afraid of.

Really? I'm sure I've mentioned it a few times. Well, this casting is the one that hurts me as a major Red Son Lex Luthor fanboy. I've never been against the Ben Affleck or Gal Gadot casting. Jesse just doesn't feel like Lex Luthor too me, he looks alright here but his voice has always been my problem with this casting.
