I think they are advertising Punisher since Marvel Studios now has the right to his franchise movie wise and they want to get people hyped up about it for the next year and a half. Now maybe not but that would be cool.

I agree. And here I was getting all excited for the Ultron War. Also, the title "Punisher: Warzone" brings back some pretty bad memories.

This is amazing, anyone who is not comprehending the badassness of this announcement is not currently reading greg rucka's Punisher. Frank Castle has been stocking up on avengers equipment for some time now as seen in the pages of the Punisher and perhaps this is why, to study them.

I like Frank. But Frank has never fit in with the rest of the super powered genre, he's too real. But Marvel really doesn't care about that. It's their ideas, they throw it in the pot and see if it will boil over. Hence the reason Rulk is still an Avenger (Side Show Bob grumble), because they just love Loeb...
