I keep reading this as The New 52 ends and think finally!

I'm disappointed that Batman Beyond in the mainstream DCU, but at least Brain Azzarello will be writing foe him (if you haven't read his Wonder Woman series you should defiantly check it out). Still, even with BB in Futures End, the fact that it will have Grifter, Firestorm, Booster Gold, Frankenstein, and other great under used characters in more then makes up for that. That mixed in with the writers they have lined up with that series actually made me go from thinking it was stupid, to wanting to read it as soon as possible.

Cool.

When did Booster Gold "come back"?

This series sounds and looks great, I'm getting some strong 52 vibes from it.

Will we finally get Midnighter and Batman meeting for the first time? I hope so. That's been one of my most anticipated moments since the beginning of the New 52.

@captainmarvel4ever: how was Grifters N52 run? Is it worth reading? He's always seemed like a pretty cool character to me. Also if it's not too much could you suggest any good stories? Thanks in advance.

Im not going to lie this teaser isn't very good it's kinda confusing the way it looks with the Esher Stairs makes it seem like the characters are cut and past all over the place with no reason.

@mrtummytumms: It's not bad, it's not a must read but it's not bad. I would say if your really interested in the character then pick up a few issues for yourself. As for older Wildstorm books, I'm a bit of a new reader, so I have a lot of catching up to do, and would recommend you either go to his character page, and see what series he has been in, or just ask some older Wildstorm fans. You can also learn about him by watching the WildC.A.T.s cartoon, but it doesn't hold up very well. I'm just happy to see a Wildstorm character that gets to be in a major series, so far they have not done well in the New 52, but I'm sure they will find their place soon enough.

Sorry, but his New52 run started out Meh and then it got "Liefeled"... so i say don't waste your money buying even a Trade. I bought it until issue 13 or 15 and i regret it until today.

On topic, Grifter IS a really cool character, and love the premise of this weekly, but because of money i'll have to wait for the trades :(

This teaser looks much better then the leaked preview they had a bleeding cool. Still there is no room for 4 issues a month on my pull list. Maybe I will check it out in trades or digitally if they do a sale.

As much as I love the idea that Apollo & Midnighter will possibly meet Batman and Superman, I can only shudder at the thought of Batman WINNING in an encounter with the Midnighter. NO, NO, NO. It is not possible and is pure WIS with a huge urinal full of PIS.

Really b/c Forever Evil is pretty much an after thought. Im not even sure if it's done or not. I swear that Event started last summer. The pacing of the event is just freaking terrible.

@hushofthewind: Forever Evil started out sounding like a great idea but I think you are right the pacing of the story killed it. I remember seeing a review for an issue of forever evil a few weeks ago and I was like that is still going on. :P

I like how DC latest event's have centered on the lesser known characters.

Booster has been in All-Star Western off and on for a while now, since... issue 20? It's how Jonah Hex got to the future, and then back to the old west again.

And yeah, been waiting for an Apollo/Supes and Midnighter/Batman fight and/or meeting for a long time now but DC seemed intent on keeping them apart. Even now it's Apollo and Midnighter and FUTURE Batman and a weird version of Superman (alternate dimension? clone? something else? There has to be some reason for the mask, he's covering every inch of skin so he's hiding something. Or even if he looks just like Clark, he's like, allergic to the sun or something, like Ultraman was. In which case Apollo should be able to hand him his ass on a plate.) not the main continuity versions. Still, better than nothing, i guess.

I am a bit shocked more people have not picked up on the Bleed complete with shiftship in the bottom corner behind them, though. Makes me tend to support this masked Supes being from another dimension.

also, pretty sure that Robin is Damian back from the dead. That, or yet another alternate universe version, the barriers between dimensions are obviously weakening here. I mean, either this takes place partly in Earth 2, or Mr Terrific finds his way back somehow, and then there's the Bleed tear in Forever Evil, and now here with the 'red skies of the apocalypse' clearly being revealed to be the Bleed, which means dimensional barriers are all but non-existent.

edit - come to think of it, if the skies are red, including the moon, does that include the sun? In which case i guess he could be a normal Kryptonian, and maybe even Clark, (though if it was Clark, why mention that Lois is suspicious of his identity in the solicits?) but needs to shield himself due to that. Apollo on the other hand has never been picky about what TYPE of sun he draws his energy from, so he should be fine as long as there is a sun at all. (and he has made do with artificial light before in any case)

I don't actually recognize anyone to the right of Grifter. At all. There appear to be alternate versions of Batman, Mr. Terrific, and Firestorm. I don't recognize the three people rushing down the stairs to fight Frankenstein and Amethyst. Nor do I recognize the three people in fancy clothes, or the two people fighting in the portal.

We've known Brother Eye will play a role in this series for a long time. But joining him in the writing on the walls are Cadmus and something about Mr. Terrific creating U-spheres, which I assume are similar to is T-spheres. And it looks like whatever Stormwatch's ship is currently called is in the bottom left corner.

Batman Beyond, the one with red, is from the animated TV show of the same name, it was great. His name is Terry McGinnis, and he takes over from an aging Bruce many years int he future. In the show, Bruce dons his old costume only on very rare occasions, but the Batman with the glowing bat symbol is Bruce from the future, apparently this threat was deemed important enough for him to get involved. He was shown in that same costume in the preview for the FCBD issue, though it seemed like he died there... *shrugs*

I don't think that's an alternate Mr. Terrific, he just got a new costume while on Earth 2. I am not sure about the people with him, though.

The two people in the portal are just a look at what's going on inside Firestorm, Ronnie and Jason. The two halves don't seem to be getting on so well.

I can't help with the people running down the stairs to fight Frankenstein or the guy in the dapper suit who Grifter is shooting at.

Stormwatch got the Carrier back in the final issue, it doesn't look anything like that, though. It's got a very large rounded front end, with big (GIANT) windows, 2 on either side, that sort of look like eyes, and a black cap on the top and a port or something underneath that. Sort of looks like a face. This looks more like a traditional, you know, ship. But it IS a shiftship, I'm pretty sure. There were many different types of them in Wildstorm, so nothing unusual about a new design for one showing up... The question is, who does it belong to?

Is that Superman with the helmet supposed to Eradicator (maybe)? Has he made a new 52 debut yet?
