The Comic Vine 2013 Superhero Championship - ROUND 2!

Round 2 of voting is now underway! Go support your favorite team!

As you likely know, there's this big thing coming up here in the United States called the Super Bowl. I'm not really a big fan of the sport, but I figured we comic fans deserve an equivalent!  So, I went ahead and picked 8 teams -- 4 from Marvel and 4 from DC -- and started the bracket earlier this week.   
 
Thankfully, the turnout was massive and winners have been declared.  We can now begin round 2 of voting!

And because the Bat-Family consists of an entirely different roster of characters that people love (Red Hood, Nightwing, Batgirl, Damian, Red Robin, Alfred, etc).

Most likely Bat-Family vs. Avengers in the final....and that could go either way. (Avengers will probably win.)

@weaponx: I tried to call the X-Men fans to arms, I even brought in the raindrops. But it was not enough.

I know that this Championship is supposed to be nothing more than harmless fun, but I'm just a little annoyed that the entire industry seems to be insistent on comparing and fighting with each other. Isn't it ironic that this championship is devoted to people working together, but is somehow dividing even more?

Every other team is doomed because it's fans aren't as united to take down the competition.

@Decoy Elite: That's kind of my point. For every fan of the Batman films is a thousand haters that think Batman gets too much exposure... Why isn't this the same for the X-Men? How has it got to the stage where the franchises are even compared?

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm almost entirely sure that Avengers will win. 
Looking at the previous round's results (and the way the current round is going), I find it fascinating how the standing order is pretty much the same as the amount of public exposure (specifically in recent years) that the respective teams have received. Not to be one of those annoying geeks that spend most of their lives complaining, I nonetheless find it distressing that this result would be entirely different, had the competition been released a few years ago. How can you even dare ask which team is the best without mentioning the JSA?
When they asked this question, it was always going to become Batman vs Avengers.  
Do we need even more division within the industry?

Blah. How did everyone not see all of those coming.... Also, why were Batman and X-men put against each other while Teen Titans and Guardians put against each other? We all know X-men should have moved on in Teen Titans place.

@Decoy Elite: Yeah, I see the graphic, I just don't understand how it divides them up the way it does. Are Batman and the JL together just because of the order they were (arbitrarily?) placed in at the start, or is there more to it?

The thing in the OP. It's a bracket, and you can tell who will fight who in the next round based on it.

@zeeguy91: maybe conference was the wrong term to use. I meant the bracket they're in. I mean c'mon X-Men, JL, and Batman ALL on one side of the bracket together? Avengers got an easy road to the finals here.

I'll copy/paste what I said in the Round 1 feature: 
 

If I had more time in my schedule or came up with this idea sooner then I absolutely would have made the bracket larger. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Hopefully next year I can use 10+ teams :)

I mean, there are still a LOT of famous comic teams that aren't represented, like SHIELD, the Legion of Superheroes, Birds of Prey, or the Justice League International (its separate enough from the Justice League for me). Hell, even throw in less-famous teams like Stormwatch, Alpha Flight, Thunderbolts, Suicide Squad, etc. or some of the New 52 exclusive ones (Demon Knights, Justice League Dark, etc.). It might have actually changed the outcomes of some of these fights.

And if the Batman Family is being represented, then shouldn't the Superman Family (Superman + Supergirl, Superboy, and Steel) be as well?
