This used to be a VIDEO FEATURE for over one hundred episodes. We've changed the format to a text version as most seem to prefer it this way.
Each week we take a look at the other Best Stuff you might have missed....
Apologies for the slightly briefer edition. I'm at the airport waiting for my flight after Star Wars Celebration (be sure to check out all our posts). There also wasn't much in terms of suggestions this week.
I know what you're thinking and we have had a sort of passionate kiss in this series before (for THOR #4 HERE). This one is a little more tender. It happens after the new Thor does some tricky moves with Mjolnir in a fight against Destroyer. You can see some of the fight HERE.
Best Bat Team-Up
The team-up you never thought you'd see. We've seen Batman team up with a number of different heroes and villains (like in the current Endgame story arc). Convergence has been giving us some interesting looks back at past versions of our characters. Here, Batman teams up with Jean-Paul Valley.
Best Touching Moment
Kitty Pryde and Illyana Rasputin were the best of friends at one point. They've both been through a lot, especially Illyana. They've grown apart and Kitty has even become a little scared of Illyana. On their current mission, some true feelings manage to come out.
Let's hope this is the beginning of something we'll see explored more.
When a story involves time-travel, pretty much anything goes. The first issue left us with a bit of a cliffhanger. Danny Reilly had to go in search of his friend, Corbin Quinn. Quinn does know how to make a showy entrance.
Best Disguise to Rob a Chitauri Bank (or Best Deadpool Cosplay)
Sam Alexander needs some money. He actually needs a lot. But trust us, it's for a good reason, read the issue. Sam decides to rob a bank. He doesn't rob a regular old bank (he's not even on Earth). He goes for a corrupt Chitauri bank. He also decides to use a disguise. It wouldn't be good for people to think of a Nova Corps member as a thief.
I wonder if the Chitauri will actually think it was Deadpool? Then again, they kind of recognized his helmet and probably have no idea who Deadpool is. Plus, Deadpool is...dead.
Best Long Awaited Showdown
Here comes the fight you've been waiting for. It's been a long time coming. No, I'm not talking about Archie and Predator. That's still coming up. Veronica Lodge finally loses it (sort of) and unleashes her spoiled rage upon Betty. Who will win? Let's just say there is some bloodshed and broken bones.
Best Show of Character
We all know Star-Lord is a bit of a scoundrel. He has certain flaws and we can't help but wonder if he's good enough for Kitty Pryde. With all the craziness of the Black Vortex story arc, Peter Quill sees how he could gain just about everything he could ever want in the universe. But there would be a cost. He gives it all up for one reason.
Best Family Reunion
It's too bad we didn't get to see more of how it actually went but perhaps it's for the best to allow them a little privacy.
Best Thing to Be Able to Relate to?
Spider-Man has lived a crazy life. It'd be hard not to be amazed by what he's dealt with and gone through. When talking to Hank McCoy, the Beast, he got to be with someone that understands what the craziness is like.
Best Reason to Choose Your Words Carefully
Kamala Khan snuck out to hang out with family friend Kamran, who also is an Inhuman. Having powers is pretty new to both of them. They're not exactly on a date but Kamala is a little nervous and quickly puts her foot in her mouth.
That made things really awkward.
That's it this week. Let us know in the comments below what other Best Stuff you dug this past week. Thanks to @Teerack and @DJFanco for their suggestions. If you want to participate or felt we missed some other Best Stuff, you can @reply me on Twitter at @GManFromHeck by Saturdays using the hashtag #BestStuffInComics. We'll give you a shout out and I'll think you're pretty groovy.
Be sure to always look for the best stuff and always be sure not to be a goofball when it comes to losing touch a little with old dear friends.
