Best Definition of a Hero

Being a hero isn't easy. A lot of people think you need a fancy costume and some sort of superpower. As we see with the young Kamala Khan, she seems to have already figured out what a hero really is.

We can all be heroes. We just need to do the right thing, even when it's hard.

AVENGERS & X-MEN: AXIS #8

Best Last Request

There's so many crazy things happening in this story arc. We've seen heroes inverted into villains and vice versa. When the mutants gene bomb was about to go off, it appeared the technology was even too much for smarty pants Spider-Man to stop it. That's where Carnage came in and said he could muffle the blast, even if it cost him his life. He did have one last request for Spider-Man to carry out.

BATMAN #37

Best Ringtone for Batman

How cool would it be to have Batman in your cellphone contacts? We have to assume he has a special line just for certain people that can't be traced back to Bruce Wayne. If you had Batman in your contacts, what ringtone would you select for him? This might not be the one I would pick but it's definitely the best ringtone of the week.

ALL-NEW X-MEN #34

Best Double Flashback

This isn't the first time we've seen a scene like this. This isn't the first time we've seen Jean Grey in a scene like this. Regardless, it's still super-cool to see. What makes it different is we get a mind-reading flashback between young Jean Grey from ALL-NEW X-MEN and Jean Grey from the Ultimate Universe.

Best Homage Cover

This issue also had a Rocket Raccoon/Groot variant cover. It's an homage to UNCANNY X-MEN #173, by Paul Smith.

TEEN TITANS #5

Best Reason Heroes Should Have Proper Dental Insurance

Being a hero isn't easy. Wait, we already said that. Whether or not a hero has superpowers or not, one thing they will want to have is insurance, especially dental insurance. Getting your teeth knocked out could really ruin your smile plus it could put your secret identity at risk when people started wondering why you kept losing teeth. Red Robin knows the importance of a good medical plan.

Beer comes in many different varieties and brands. Not all beer is created equal. Here, we see one person's opinion on certain brand.

Turns out Spider-Woman isn't too crazy about rats. She does remember some words from Carol Danvers on dealing with your fear.

This cover just oozes all sorts of coolness. It was the regular cover too.

Best Return of an Old Version of a Character

Even though Billy Batson is in the Justice League in the New 52 and as great as the current version is, there's still something missing. In this issue we got to take a trip back to see the older version we're more familiar with.

Best Scene to Give you Nightmares

This is a creepy book. The idea that someone could pledge you or a family member to witches is scary enough. But to come across a friend that is somehow stuck inside the hollow of a tree? Maybe it's time to move to the city?

JUSTICE LEAGUE #37

Best Use of a Sidekick

Batman has a lot of gadgets and suits. With the city being quarantined and the search for patient zero, Superman and Batman are out and about with Batman in a special suit. He refers to it as the Haz-Bat suit. Superman asks about the name.

It's a pretty cheesy name. The question is, did Robin really come up with it or is Batman using his sidekick as a scapegoat?

INHUMAN #10

Best Spider-Man Quip

Bless Spider-Man and Charles Soule. As part of the Axis event, Medusa has become a little darker. Spider-Man confronts her about her behavior and temperament in a way only he could.

AXIS HOBGOBLIN #3

Best Balloon

This is a balloon I want to see in next year's Macy's Day Parade. Hobgoblin deserves to be in the parade.

Okay, maybe not, but I'd love to see it.

BATMAN AND ROBIN #37

Best Touching Moment

I know, I know. Some will cry this is a spoiler. But considering Peter Tomasi, the writer, and DC Comics have already spoiled it, people should know it's coming. Plus, the title of the story arc is ROBIN RISES...

I won't spoil what happens on the pages that follow. You'll definitely want to see that.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #22

Best Venom Transformation

That pesky Venom Symbiote. With Flash Thompson, and the Venom Symbiote hanging out with the Guardians of the Galaxy (actually, he's hardly even been on any adventures with them), the suit has gotten a little out of control. It's been jumping around trying to claim other hosts. One that we see in the issue is pretty great.

Best Poll of the Week

Last week the poll dealt with the changes to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's origin in the pages of AVENGERS & X-MEN: AXIS (we wrote about it all HERE). 64% of you said you didn't like the change.

This week deals with the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Venom Symbiote. While we do see the Venom Symbiote on some different members of the team, which do you think would be cool to see for more than a few panels?
