Marvel's latest animated television series, The Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes, will soon premiere on October 20th on Disney XD. That doesn't mean we have to wait for so long until the premiere of the series. explains:

"Beginning Wednesday, September 22, Disney XD, and Disney XD Mobile will roll out 20 micro-episodes introducing the team's core members. Each five-and-half-minute episode focuses on the back story, allies and nemeses of the heroes before the Avengers were formed."

Twenty? So far we know for sure that the original  Avengers Captain America Iron Man Thor Hulk,   Hank Pym and  Wasp will be part of the team. The  trailer also revealed that  Hawkeye Black Panther Nick Fury and  Black Widow will also be included in the roster. Who are the other ten characters that will get a micro-epsiode?

Either way, after we get a taste of all the origins in the 5 min micro episodes, then on October 20th of this year we will get to see a 2-part series premiere of the series with the title "The Blackout":

"Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man and Wasp have defeated some of the most dangerous super villains on the planet. But when the Super Villain prison system mysteriously shuts down, chaos is unleashed on the world. Earth's Mightiest Heroes must now band together as the Avengers to protect the planet from the threats that no single Super Hero could face alone. Their first task is to try and stop  Graviton, a being whose power dwarfs anything ever seen. He's after  Nick Fury, but will destroy the world to get to him. Individually the heroes have no chance, but together they can make a difference."

According to the creators of the series the origin of this incarnation of the team will incorporate pieces of both the original Avengers team's origin and  Bendis New Avengers' origin;  Breakout.
The official website of the series also reveals some interesting stuff about who these animated Avengers will be battling. Under the site's MOST WANTED tab we get to see Baron Von Strucker Abomination Baron Zemo Loki Ultron Kang The Leader and the  Grim Reaper as part of the animated rogue's gallery .
Apparently Marvel and Disney are working their butts off to make this a great animated series that will "animate" the comic book characters we love to read about. Are you excited for the series? Who do you think are the other 10 characters that will star in their micro-episodes?
