It started out as a video game, quickly was turned into a comic book, and not long afterward inspired a script. Stuart Beattie's who's recent script work include "G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra" also wrote the screenplay for "Halo: The Fall Of Reach." Beattie seemed to have been pushing the script back in 2007, yet more recently, news had circulated that the "Halo" movie project had fallen completely flat.
Perhaps it was the success of Stuart Beattie's latest project, the "G.I. Joe" film, or maybe it is simply the sort of project that Stephen Spielberg had been looking for because rumors have once again, begun to circulate. According to IESB news, famed director/producer Stephen Spielberg is a huge fan of Beattie's script and apparently he has been searching for a new project now that Dreamworks lost "Transformers" to Paramount.
I am a bit skeptical over the prospect of a "Halo" movie written by the same guy that brought us " G.I. Joe;" after all, one of my biggest complaints with the "G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra" movie was, in fact, the script. Additionally, not everything with Spielberg's name means quality. What are your thoughts? Are you a fan of the game? Have you read the comic book?
