Fan-theories can range from either "insane" to "insanely plausible," and they exist everywhere on the Internet for any type of medium. Luckily, this is a comic book site, so there's no need to debate the moon landing. One theory that keeps popping up deals with the comic and the television series "The Walking Dead." A couple years back, a user on Comic Vine posed the question "What if Rick Grimes is still in his coma?" The user pondered on the idea that "Rick Grimes never woke up from the coma and he's in deep sleep. He's imagining all this,he dreamt of the zombies and none of it really happen. He only dreamed of zombies because he loved reading stories about them."
This theory is happening all over the net, and after an Uproxx article went up about this, WALKING DEAD writer Robert Kirkman got on Twitter and put the theories to rest.
Going on record to answer this: http://t.co/3lhUI6A3bW Rick is NOT still in a coma. The events of TWD are definitely happening.

Well, that puts that to rest, but Kirkman also tweeted something else to get fans questioning the series, once again. Obviously, he's joking... or is he?
But Carl and everyone else are all imagined. He actually NEVER found his family. He's been crazy since he killed his first zombie. #joking?

Begin writing your theories about Rick Grimes and discuss whether or not he's completely crazy, or you can call him on his phone and ask, which has a direct link to his dead wife.
