Last week, Chadwick Boseman talked a bit about what Black Panther is going to be up to in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. Now, it looks like the film may land a director of one of the most impressive films of the year. According to THR, Creed director Ryan Coogler is in negotiations to direct the 2017 Black Panther solo film.
It seems that Creed's strong opening got Marvel and Coogler talking again, as these negotiations between the two happened earlier in the fall. As of this time, there's no comment from Marvel, so we'll keep you updated as this develops.
Black Panther is scheduled to be released on February 16, 2018.
