I really need a flashback here though, I'm curious as to how this team got brought together.

Magneto in the field again! You know, I was starting to dig the whole Detective Magnus but nice to see him out and about again. Looking forward to reading this big time.

I'm happy to say that Land's art is looking pretty solid.

Magneto and Psylocke have a great dynamic; two renegade alphas with slightly clashing ideals. I love their snappy banter.

Liking this series so far. Magneto and Mystique are 2 of my favourite characters!

This book has shown me that Land can actually draw when he wants to. Still see some of the old Land when he puts those ridiculous facial expressions on M, but it doesn't seem as often in this book. Maybe an editor finally talked to him and was like "Dude..."

Magneto's about to handle business. I think this issue is when my boy is suppossed to show up...

The variant cover looks like Land swiped Mike Deodatos Magneto from New Avengers. Look at the eyes and eye brows.

Why don't they just call this "Uncanny X-Force"? That's basically the premise.

It's just my opinion, but I don't like "Uncanny X-men" being about a team of "former" villains (with some "by any means necessary" anti-heroes mixed in). I like "Uncanny X-men" being the flagship title about fighting for Xavier's dream of peaceful co-existence.

Liking this book way more then extraordinary. And both those covers are so cool, I can't figure out which one I want!

It's definitely way better than Extraordinary X-Men and that's including the art. Uncanny X-Men is a perfect fit for them. Are you people forgetting the last Uncanny X-men was nothing like a hero, but rather an anti (let's not forget Cyclops). Truly this has been a great read so far. I just can't wait to see Polaris down the road.

Is magneto still nerfed?

Best book ever. How many ya wish for Cullen to be in the Extraordinary Crab... huh!

I am really enjoying this series so far, lots of potential and they brought back the Dark Riders and made them seem less crappy.

still a good read. they're like marvel's version of the a-team.

Sadly yea. He had trouble picking up a 18 wheeler and a few other steel objects, but he could not maintain it. He ended up dropping all of it and then fell to one knee. Then said he pushed himself to hard and he over taxed himself. Which is dumb because Magneto lifting a 18 wheeler should have been NO problem he could have done it with a pinky finger. Then he says something else that makes me thing he might be dying.

ANYWAY back to the Thread.

I like how Magneto says he clearly is still interested in attacking humans, but it's on pause for right now. LOL

Uncanny X-men is just as Good as Extraordinary great characters and interactions. Though not sure why they killed off yet another Omega mutant lol down goes yet another omega(LOL) Nice Job Marvel. -_-

I think they were going the route of a "it is all in their head" type thing.

If I remember correctly, back in Axis when Red Skull was reading Cyclops' mind, he made a statement that he could easily fix what was wrong with him. So, I am assuming that it was supposed to be all in his head.

Something like performance anxiety. I feel that this nerfing process is just a way for them to deal with the fact which studios have the movie rights. I don't want to go that route with the argument, but mutants were always...ALWAYS a huge threat. Now, it is like a screaming child in a restaurant. More of a slight nuisance than anything.

I HOPE so. Because this performance Magneto did was very disappointing for the Master of Magnetism.(Seriously dude and 18 wheeler that is NOT a problem for Magneto) I kinda don't think it's in his head being the fact Psylocke is present I would assume she would find out something is wrong in his mind, but guess not. Anyway this nerf Magneto is NOT good.

Glaring problem #1: Magneto's helmet deflects telepathic intrusion.

#2: I feel like Land insisted Magneto always wear his helmet so he can save time by filling in Eric's face with a black blob. In fact, if you notice, if he can find a way to NOT draw faces, he does. Mags and Psylocke are walking through a crowd of people in BROAD DAYLIGHT, but are some how cloaked in shadow with even Betsy's face blacked out.

Something nice: I'm generally pleased that the majority of these introductory panels contain backgrounds...

PS, Anybody catch this cover for Uncanny X-Men #4? It's actually pretty good. By Land. I said it.

I kinda waiting for an x-men book to ft villainous Havok... And clearly we need a need a new master of magnetism... What about that blue haired chick from ultimate universe... MachTwo... Just someone to keep Magnus on his toes... She is probably his grand daughter or something anyways...
