Preview: POWER MAN AND IRON FIST #3

I was worried when I saw the cover but this looks alright.

It may not be perfect but I need something to fill the void until Jessica Jones season 2 and Luke Cage gets his own series

I am absolutely loving this series! The best book at marvel right now.

I like the book so far. The art is cool and I chuckle a lot when reading it.

I think the writing in this book is great but I have two issues:

1) Why is Jennie Royce apparently black now?

2) David Walker's characterization of Iron Fist is completely off. He's a complete goofball now. In past series he was always quite serious and didn't really have a sense of humour, (because of how he was brought up and his family history). This Danny Rand is not the one I know at all, (and I own pretty much every comic ever printed with Iron Fist in it).

But the comic does make me laugh which is good. "Fiddle Faddle", lol.

Did you read any of his solo series in the 200s? He was still damn serious then. This only started with Bendis. I understand characters evolve but I've been following Danny for a good 30 years or so. It just feels weird to me to see him like this now.

@iron_fist_angel He was still a little goofy in those last two runs at times. Though Kaare Andrews' run was very dark, the Fraction run had lighter goofier moments as well

@iron_fist_angel: I didn't read those old Marvel runs, but just looking at old pictures of her, she looks black to me.

@iron_fist_angel: @shinobi62676: Yeah in those old comics, she looks extremely ambiguous at best with her skin going back and fourth in tone. The curly hair and lips can make her seem alt east partially black. Even in this one, she seems more mixed than just black.

Good book. Love the back and forth between Danny and Luke and the arts good too. I met Sanford Greene at a Con in Bmore and I'm a fanciful his style, glad to see his work again.
