New Video Reveals Supergirl's Origin

Supergirl is about a month away from premiering on CBS and one thing that hasn't been talked about as of yet is Kara Danvers AKA Supergirl's origin. How did she get to Earth? So if she is 12 when Superman saves her and the show takes place with Kara in her mid to late 20's, than Clark must be somewhere between 30-40 years old.

Also bare in mind that Clark was already 33 when he donned the red and blue in Man of Steel. I can tell this show is going to cause problems with its continuity. It has to take place during or after the establishment of the Justice League, right? Is the public is turning against Clark in Batman v Superman, will that be reflected in how the military interacts with Kara?
