Another comic book death? what could I possibly say that hasn't already been said.

Anyone who takes this news seriously in any way, shape or form does not understand Deadpool or has not been reading the book...... not referring to you, G-Man, btw, I'm just kind of grinning because I know the premise of all this.

@wowylied: Yeah, his series is pretty fun. I dropped it when MARVEL went into Deadpool overload but it was fun.

And why did Marvel feel they needed to announce this?

Having lived through several comic events this is the first time i actually realized why they do these. I haven't read Deadpool since shortly after Secret Invasion due to Way's buchery of the Character but i'm diving straight back in. I cant miss the -insert pre-determined duration- death of my favourite character (pre Daniel Way). All the deaths and other random events suddenly makes sense as a marketing tool.

WAIT!? Didn't Thanos cursed Deadpool with life so he could never be with Death? If so how can he die?

Well if he is truly dying then that means Marvel is blantantly ignoring the curse of immortality that Thanos placed on him 10+ years ago, unless they plan to bring that in somehow. Seems like Marvel's up to its old ways, when they can't find a way to write a character or make him interesting they just kill them to sell books. And with a Deadpool movie in the works he will no doubt return quick. But my guess is he won't die at all.

As far as I can tell, there's no signal that this is the last issue in the book, so I expect TALES OF DEADPOOL IN HELLLLLLL.

This is what happens when you let Daniel Way write a complex character. He can't come up with any more good ideas (considering he ran out of them after #12 when Deadpool and Bullseye fought) so he kills the character off.

Joe Kelly, bring back Deadpool.

how bout leavin DP alone and just killing the book's writer ? (i'm willing to settle with just changing him with the one that used to write Cable/Deadpool or DP's solo series in the 90's)

If Wade does infact die then it needs to be in a way that is true to his character, comic, and a true WTF moment. He should stay dead for at least 5 years but still show up in some capacity in the comics even if it is as a ghost.

If we're going by 90s Deadpool, Lady Death is actually in love with him.

But since this is Way-Pool, yes, he would annoy her to no end.

Let Daniel Way kill him, and have Remender revive him...and keep him. Uncanny X-Force Deadpool is so much better than any other Deadpool out there right now.

I love Deadpool, I wish he was written differently then how he currently is. I'm not surprised though. With Evil Deadpool here I bet he will carry the series or he will be the Deadpool that actually dies. If they do kill him I hope they keep him dead till they can find someone who can write him up marvelously...he's the only character i enjoy reading from marvel and its not been as fun for me as it use to be.

judging from some comments on here...it appears that the rumors of his death might be greatly exaggerated.

Hmmms. Well he can't contact Thanos and release him from his never death cause Thanos is on the Cancerverse. I wonder how this will play out.

I'd love to see him be gone. DEAD and GONE. I never understood the fanfare behind anything deadpool.

Because they killed him with over exposure. I think Quesada said at one time that they kill people because they want fans to miss the character and have the character return stronger than ever.... and hopefully for Marvel, a stronger fan-base.
