Yeah I'm seriously considering adding some more DC titles to my pull list. "Detective Comics" & "Batman" are the only titles I've consistently read over the years.

I always enjoyed Green Lantern and Batgirl, I plan to get Batgirl too. Marvel unfortunately thought flooding the market and going for the extreme as far as character changes was the best method as it gets people angry and talking unfortunately while they hold the top spot in sales now, it may be in part due to their flooding the market and their plans working temporarily but they wont work forever, even now discontent is growing.

After reading all the interviews and discussions, the arrows weren't meant to kill the Hulk. They were meant to kill Banner before the full transformation can take place. Nonetheless, it's still total and complete BS. If Banner, one of the smartest beings in the Marvel Universe, failed countless times to cure/kill the Hulk, it's a fact that nobody else or any weapon would fare better of accomplishing it.

Haven't we been shown time and time again, the Hulk can't be killed by something like killing Banner before he Hulks out?

This was a freaking joke. And I got to say, I'm beginning to switch to Stark side.

Banner gave Hawkeye that (whatever it was) to use in the eventually he would Hulk out. Banner gets upset and rightfully so, and gets killed because of it.

So, who's next? Tony? Jean Grey? Wanda Maximoff?

Well they did hinted that when The Hulk (Banner) absorbed the radiation from that experimental fusion reactor, that somehow it was interacting with the gamma radiation in The Hulk.

Also in the last issue of Totally Awesome Hulk, if you take special notice to the color of Banner irises, they change from one panel to the other. It didn't looked green though, but more like red.

Maybe Banner was injecting himself with dead gamma radiated cells because the interaction between the gamma radiation and the radiation from the Fusion reactor changed the nature of The Hulk power source.

This could explain why all scans showed him gamma free. But now we've seen he was actually using gamma radiated cells to prevent himself from turning into the Hulk.

Why Marvel!? Considering that Bruce Banner when properly written is one of the most compelling characters in comics ever this move makes absolutely no sense. Unless the plan really is to replace a good percentage of the company's most iconic characters with various degrees of minority groups. That in and of itself is quite sinister and unnecessary. Why not just be creative and make new heroes for a new and more eclectic world? It's worked with Ms Marvel so far and even Cho Hulk without having to put Banner in the dirt from which he'll definitely rise by part 2 of MCU Infinity War. Maybe you guys just enjoy poking long time fans in the eye while manufacturing cheap sales boosts. I for one am offended and seriously considering quitting Marvel all together. Ffs at least return the x men to their place of prominence and end this poorly written and embarrassing play at crowning the Inhumans champions of the ostracized and genetically challenged. Meh more of my money for Image and Valiant.

So, the next "shock" wiill be that after some experimentation with the Banner corpse, it will come back to life, go on the predicted rampage, and kill a few heroes. hakeye will be first since he shot the arrow. She-Hulk, will recover and bring Bruce back to his senses withe the help of "Rock me Amadeus" Cho who will inject him with dead gamma cells. The result of all thos will hopefully be the death of Bendis tenure at Marvel.

I think I'll stick to Astro City and some DC titles for the forseeable future.

Lol. This is all that matters from this event.

naked Hulk. pee pee not visible, so this raises questions. I mean, someone Hulk's size should have a hulk sized organ, but i don't even see a shadow. Was he castrated?

@ackness: DC Rebirth is really good. I picked up a few issues and I am hooked on DC again :) Marvel has probably lost for some time, maybe forever

Maybe but Marvel right now is more concerned with cheap, quick and viral ideas; using leftist political leanings in writing, heavy-handed writing too, use race and gender as gimmicks, drastic changes like deaths. Essentially they're taking years of things that changed comics and trying to use them again all at once.

Never going to happen :P Marvel would hate me for being inflexible about story ideas and the fact that I wouldn't make characters of a certain race or gender to suit them unless it was for the sake of story telling.

Don't feel bad, DC Rebirth is actually pretty good, I picked up a few issues and plan to get back into DC. Image and Valiant are going strong so Marvel doesn't have a monopoly or anything

Why the heck would you volunteer your money to read this story?

Marvel must have so much money they can afford to totally ruin every character they have. This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Well no, making a female Thor was the dumbest thing they did. Wait replacing Iron Man was the dumbest. I can't decide now..

Honestly, before Original Sin, Marvel had better comics than DC on the whole. But now it's just getting stupid. I mean, the Inhuman comics are kinda nice, really enjoy Karnak-- but he doesn't do anything with the Inhumans in his comic. Black Bolt sits on the sidelines despite being one of the coolest characters the Inhumans produced. Medusa is dating Johnny Storm because they don't know what the heck to do with him now that they got rid of the FF. They've neutered every one of their successful comics in order to bring Inhumans to the front, so that when the movie comes out people might care.

Hawkeye should have whispered something into Banners ear instead. What would he whisper?? "Plot Device" and Banner falls dead, for about a year or so... bahahahahaha!

Every time I think about getting back into reading Marvel books, I catch wind of events with stupid plots like this and it just ends up keeping me away another 2 to 4 years. lmao...at least most of the theatrical films and network shows keep me satisfied in the mean time. Probably because all the videos are based on great Marvel plots of yesteryear. Oh well, off I go to download Cap America Civil War and the Netflix series to hold me over.

the 4 are still running around in different groups. the hulk is one of my favorites. I hope this is just temporary. he is an iconic character.

So the F4 is broken up (which I don't mind, Reed and Sue are better as explorers and taking care of their children, while Ben and Johnny keep being superheroes, since they did that more often than Reed or Sue anyways), the original Hulk is dead, Thor Odinson has been replaced, the X-men are being put to the side, Hawkeye is being put on trial, Cap is sort of a Nazi, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch aren't really Magneto's kids, and Tony Stark is being replaced soon. When should I expect something to happen to Spider-Man and Daredevil to round out Marvel's original heroes having things happen to them?

What happened ? I thought Bendis Left Marvel , i was ready to come back & now i see this , awww mann bendis is still being a bald headed DC comics mole with Quesada in Marvel still ..., o well .

Well my thoughts about this story line is just , Bendis & Quesada are ruining marvel to balance out the industry because DC Comics has suffered for undergoing several reboots in a span of a few years ..like total reboots & then the Superman VS Batman movie went superflop .

For Bendis & Quesada Ruining Marvel they get Favors like DC using Quesada Flopped Failed Character Azreal in the Gotham TV Series . & Bendis might go work for DC comics ( omg hurry go to DC comics you suck in Marvel )

As for the Hulk , You cant kill the Hulk even in Bruce Banner Mode , by an arrow ? , wtf kinda corny story line is that , from the same makers of Wolverines Death in a Statue like a Han Solo / Jaba the Hutt Story plot ? Logan can walk to the roof top dipped in Make Shift Version of Adamantium but wont wipe out some holes under his nostril ?Thats just Bizarre ,

Hopefully some Smart writers finally come thru & re-establish you cant put Hulk in Dormant mode because you just make things worse .& when you bottle a Mutate or a Mutant for far too long it explodes into a new level .

Smh, Marvel killing off everybody. Rebirth couldn't have a better time to come. Also, WHY IS BENDIS RUNNING THIS!!!!!!!!
