LOSERS TV Spot

And it DOES hit the spot...

No Caption Provided

“In a world where love is against the law, one man will stand alone…”

“Strap yourself in for an adventure 65 million years in the making…”

Trailers aren’t complete without a gravely-voiced narrator ramping the pathos up with some good old fashioned hype-rhetoric. As much as I thought the Losers trailer was a rollicking good time, I couldn’t help feeling it was missing something. Namely, the kind of narration I describe above. So when the first TV spot for the movie hit today and resounded with…

“The CIA’s most elite… just became… their most wanted.”

Oooooooo… goosebumps started popping up all over the back of my neck.

But words on your screen can’t do that justice. You need that gravel! So check out the spot yourself, courtesy for Trailer Addict (by way of Geek Tyrant)…

Zoe Saldana firing a rocket… from the hip! Now, that is brazen!

Looks like this movie’s going to be coming out in April, for real this time, after a little bit of release date dancing.   Once again, for those of you unfamiliar with the Andy Diggle and Jock Vertigo comic, The Losers, on which this is based, ol’ Witchfinder Pinchuk has got you covered…

An explosive tale of double cross and revenge, “The Losers” centers upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The team–Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar–find themselves the target of a lethal betrayal instigated from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max. Presumed dead, the group makes plans to even the score when they’re joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda. Working together, they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war.

Mark your calendar with a bullet hole, oh hip-firing Comic Vine community. April 23rd. Has this spot got you more jacked up for some paramilitary espionage? Or does it make you want to hand yourself over to the authorities? I need answers!
