You know how sometimes you're walking down the street and you are suddenly aware of footsteps in the darkness? You don't dare turn around because you don't want the other person to know you're aware of them, then maybe you're intimidated... a little frightened? You pick up the pace just a little -- and the footsteps come closer... faster... a huge shadow falls over you from behind, you can feel the ice cold breath on the back of your neck...!

Now, imagine if one of those times you turned around at the last instant and instead of an axe-carrying maniac...

... it turns out to be none other than Tom Mandrake and John Ostrander!

Yes, the same team that over the years has given the comic industry such amazing runs on books like THE SPECTRE, MARTIAN MANHUNTER, GRIMJACK, BATMAN GROTESK and THE KENTS! These guys know horror, they know action, they know that you can't be scared for the characters involved if they haven't done their job of bringing those characters to life!

So why am I tell you this? Because I'm genuinely terror-stricken that you're going to miss this opportunity of a lifetime! There are just some 48 hours left at the time of this posting, and after scoring over 47K, their new project KROS: HOLLOWED GROUND is less than two thousand dollars away from being fully funded!

Only 2K dollars!

This summer has proven to the big publishers that the fans will still show up with money in hand for the stories and creators and their takes on characters from the 70s, 80s, 90s and right up until today!

Now Tom and John are taking their case directly to fandom. They've created a story that -- honestly -- could not be any more relevant: a vampire story that takes place during the Civil War! (Hello! Have you scanned a news website recently?!)

You do what you want, of course -- but I'd feel terrible for you if I didn't take this opportunity to point out that if you don't support it now, you're going to miss one awesome 120 page graphic novel by two masters of their crafts. And how scary would THAT be?!
