I have mixed feelings about the upcoming "G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra" movie coming out on August 7. I did watch the show growing up. So I do have that nostalgic attachment to the franchise. A movie version sounds and should be cool. Some of the images from the trailer make it look like a fun summer popcorn movie. But there's also been a couple things that have worried me. My biggest concern is if this "Doctor" guy turns out to be Cobra Commander (seen in the poster and HERE). There was also the image from one of the toys that was a little disturbing.
I know I should just let go of any expectations that it will be the greatest movie ever made. The movie has to appeal to a wide audience, not just for people like me. Perhaps Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow can make it all worth it.
For now, here is a look at the "international" poster that Empire Online posted this morning. Hopefully the Baroness didn't have to stand like that for too long. It looks like it would hurt her back after a while to be twisted like that.
