You knew it was coming. Another Deadpool series is invading the shelves at your local comic shop. Next week it will be here. Prelude To Deadpool Corps #1 will be on sale March 3. How much Deadpool is enough? We already have Deadpool, Deadpool: Merc With A Mouth and Deadpool Team-Up. This five issue mini-series adds one more to the mix.

I have to admit that I do like the Zombie Deadpool Head. He makes an interesting sidekick. The others, I'm not so sure. What is this "Prelude" mini about?

Witness the birth of the most important super hero team ever in a universe-spanning event that will rock the month of March! Wade Wilson has been tapped to save the Universe, and to do that he's going to need help. Enter: The sexy-but-insecure Lady Deadpool! The devious-but-lovable Headpool (a.k.a. the Zombie Deadpool Head)! The bratty-but-brilliant Kidpool! And the irascible mutt known as Dogpool! Individually, they're, well, kind of messed up, but together, they're the unstoppable force know as DPC.

From the look of the preview below, it appears the first issue could be focusing on just Lady Deadpool. Perhaps each issue will focus on one member with the final issue having all members together. Could that mean we'd get an entire issue with just Zombie Deadpool or Dogpool?

I know Deadpool has his share of fans but it seems lately I'm hearing more about people getting tired of him. It makes sense that if a character is popular he would be used as much as possible. Is there any concern that by overusing the character you're only getting short-term benefits? By saturating the market with Deadpool, there will come a point sooner rather than later when Deadpool comics won't sell and he'll have to hide in the shadows of comic book obscurity.

Where do you stand with Deadpool? How long have you been a fan? Has your fondness of the character dwindled with each appearance he makes week after week? Here's the preview of the first issue of Prelude To Deadpool Corps #1. It's written by Victor Gischler and drawn by Rob Liefeld.
