Hal goes to Relic for help

When your enemy gains one of the most insane powers in the universe, what can you do? Well, for Hal, you head to see Relic because the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Relic really is the only person that can help though because he has such a vast knowledge of the universe and has been studying the Source Wall since the end of Godhead as well. After some bickering with each other, Relic helps out but it seems he's not as great as a help during the battle as Hal would have wanted, but he still comes in handy during the fight.

Black Hand becomes one with the Source Wall

After a fight between the team of Relic and Hal vs what seems to be an unstoppable Black Hand. It seems like Relic and Hal can't win, but Trapper and Virgo come in and shoot Black Hand with a grappling cannon, sending Black Hand into the Source Wall. What happens next? Black Hand becomes one with the Source Wall and all the things Black Hand touched, which also became the Source Wall, start heading there as well. It's drawn to the source. Anyway, Black Hand disappears and it looks like this is the last time we're going to see him, at least for a long time.

Hal decides to head to Earth

While this picture isn't the greatest for setting up Hal going to Earth, after everything is said and done, and Black Hand has been defeated, Hal needs to figure out what to do with his life next. He decides to part ways with Virgo and Trapper, for now, to head back to Earth.

He hasn't been there in quite some time, since he lost the job of being able to patrol Sector 2814. Hal put Simon Baz in charge and frankly, Hal just wants to see some familiar faces, but he still has to do so in secret, since he's a wanted man.

The reappearance of an old villain

At the end of the issue, back on Earth, in a place called Modora, a plot comes together with a man named "Bito" in charge. Who the heck is this guy?

Well, he's Sonar, a classic Green Lantern villain, but reimagined for a whole new era. He's a baddie from the Modorian Royal Family who uses a tuning fork gun to overcome Hal Jordan. This will be the first time we see him in the New 52 and for even more information about the new Sonar, check out the interview with Robert Venditti.
