First Look: 'Red Robin' #7 Cover!

Here is what we can expect from Marcus To...

No Caption Provided

I have been a fan of the Red Robin series written by Chris Yost, save for the last issue, #3, which I had felt to be a wee bit disappointing. As you may or may not know, artist Ramon Bachs will be leaving the series and it will be taken over by Aspen artist Marcus To. DC released a preview of what we can expect in To with their first look at the cover to Red Robin #7. I know the characters at the bottom of the page are the assassins working with Tim Drake, but who do you think everyone else is?

I can't wait to see the artwork! I kinda liked Red Robin but I could hardly get past the sub par artwork. The pic above and others I've seen Tim looks like a teen. In the previous issue when Tim is in his custume, he looks as old as Dick or Jason

There just something about the Red Robin outfit that doesn't settle right with me. It feels off. I can't put my finger on it.

Hate to say but I'm glad they're switching artists.  This looks real good, can't wait for more of this series.

Just a quick question. Tell me if this is stupid but, shouldn't Red Robin have more RED on him? Seems like an awful lot of black on his costume to me.

Really liking this series so far as it gives the writer a chance to play around with different backdrops for a "Bat-family" character other than Gotham or Bludhaven. I'm really liking the more lean Drake in this promo over  the muscle-bound one we've had so far in #1-3.

That's a really cool cover. I like it a lot. Plus, the lady on the top seems hot.

Cool cover but it ruins who is killing all of the assassins.

I could not be happier with the direction Red Robin is headed, both with its story and its creative team.  Personally Tim Drake has always been Robin for me simply because I got into DC quite a few years after I started reading comics.  I believe the Robin miniseries was one of the first DC books I ever picked up.  I'm really enjoying Tim Drake's growth into a major player in the DCU.

The art is too clean.... it looks like one of Marvel's True Love comic's.
Its one of the reasons Aspen comics never caught my attention...
I'll still read it cuz i like the series.....

Same here. Wasn't loving the interior art on this either but this is one of my fav books right now, Last ish was pretty weak overall but I can't wait for more especially with the new art coming. Can't wait for this:

I like how they have made Tim look as grown up out of the suit as he does in the suit, it's a big improvement.

I think that this will be great to read, especially if the interior art remains at this quality.

I've always liked Tim Drake, and I've especially enjoyed how he grown as a hero since the end of Identity Crisis. I've really enjoyed the series so far, but the one problem I've had with it, is that the art felt a little too... cartoony. the colors are too bright and the line work is too bold, and it really, I feel, hinders the darker mood the comic is trying to convey. (I'm NOT saying it's bad art, I'm just saying its not the right art for this comic) So I am really looking forward to the change in art!

Back to the Cover though; I think the top panel (if the preview description on DC's website is to be believed) is Vikki Vale and Thomas Elliot. And based off the preview for issue #4, I'd say the woman in the middle panel is Tam (?) Fox, Lucius Fox's Daughter...
