Is it just me, or is wolverine in like 50 X-Men & Avengers comics?

That's what everyone keeps saying, but I read 4 Avengers comics and 5 X-men comics last month, and Wolverine was only in one of those (and it was Wolverine & the X-Men).

Sure, Wolverine shows up in more books than a lot of characters and is bound to show up in any book eventually, but it's not like he's just everywhere all the time.

Pumped for this, loving the focus on less famous Avengers like Shang Chi and Smasher.

@humanrocket: I was talking about Avengers and Avengers World.

Though yeah, I get what you're on about. Avengers is meant to be about life, while New Avengers revolves around death.

@maccyd: your right the two Avengers teams were meant to be polor opposites. The Avenges series was meant to look at the world as an idealist were the Avengers make the good choices were else in New Avengers looks at the world in the point of the view of realist were the New Avengees have to make the hard choices and the choices that the regulator Avengers team can't make. You just have to look at the start of each series and it will tell you what each book deal with. The Avengers books starts of with the statement " there was nothing and then there was everything" were New Avengers starts with " there was everything and then there was nothing". Both books are polor opposites yes but it beyond the team rosters

@v_scarlotte_rose: @humanrocket: I thought one of the points of separating the Avengers books was that one would concentrate on the more traditional Avengers while World would concentrate on the newcomers? Breaking up the large roster, so as for better character development and whatnot.

Well considering Mark Millar wrote this trash character of Gorgon I say let the Bruce Lee knockoff go for it and I'm okay with him killing Gorgon if that's an option no one will miss him.

@v_scarlotte_rose: I would suggest you read the first two issues or even first three. I was the same way I didn't buy the series until a few days before Infinity and I was blown away and dissappointed at myself for not diving into the series when I first started. I promise you it's worth your time to AT LEAST read the first 3 issues.

@humanrocket: I agree with this 100%. It is a bit better now but the quality difference between New Avengers and Avengers right before Infinity was astounding. If I didn't know better, I would have said New was written by a different and much better author.

@v_scarlotte_rose: I would suggest if you aren't reading an Avengers book and want a really well told story with characthers with strong personalities and were you actually invest time into caring about them go with New Avengers. It's IMO the best series that Marvel has going right now.

@humanrocket: Maybe that's just a problem that comes with having such a big team, especially when some of them are new. If this series is just going to showcase some of the less known members, I'm not sure if it's worth getting.

@v_scarlotte_rose: it wouldn't surprise me if that's what the early issues are about. Hickman did this in his avengers series last year focusing on Captain Universe Hyperion Shamaher and Star Brand in a lot of the issues. The problem is that while he does focus on a single characther in some issues those same characthers lose personality in the other issues. It's an issue in starting to really dislike of Hickman which is suprising because his characthers in New Avengers always have personality and characteristics that make me CARE about the chracthers which is something I can't say about his Aveners World and some of his Avengers issues.

Awesome, looks amazing. Hyperion is definitely my favorite Comic character of all time and I really hope he gets more run in this upcoming book. I'm praying that they put together a Squadron Supreme book again (they could do a story of what life was like before hyperion's world was destroyed.

Gotta say, despite the oversized roster, I'm really liking Hickman's Avengers. I'd hardly read any Shang-Chi prior, but I've found myself becoming quite a fan of his character. I'm also glad to finally see Hyperion as a regular member of an ongoing 616 series.

The god in question was a 10 year old boy. Whom Hickman felt Gorgon would struggle with.

and he also had him mess up speedsters also I think Shang is up-graded, look at the scan above

It's odd seeing Madripoor (and AIM island in the other Avengers World story) being used completely differently in other books. Uncanny X-Men is using Madripoor in some interesting ways that don't seem to be present here. And the whole Secret Avengers arc seems nonexistent if you read last weeks Avengers World
